Brunello & Orcia Wine Tour I 1day
This one-day tour is created for wine lovers traveling in Tuscany who would like to know more about the local wines. We will visit 2 wineries and taste 8-10 different wines.
The first stop will be at Orcia winemaker/ Slow wine 2018, where we will compare different blends with aged Sangiovese and taste some interesting Syrah and white wine. After intense wine tasting you can enjoy light lunch in the Cheese farm with wide degustation of different Pecorino cheeses.
In the afternoon we will drive to Brunello winery where we learn how they produce their superb wines, starting from the vineyard, proceeding down to the cellar, and ending with a wine tasting of 3-4 wines, including Brunelllo and Rosso di Montalcino, IGT and grappa.
We will walk through the lovely medieval town of Montalcino with its many “enotecas”, beautiful churches, and majestic 13th century fortress.

Our wine tour we will start with a brief introduction into the world of Brunello and you will know some interesting facts about this great wine while you are having your italian breakfast with cappuccino and fresh ‘’cornetto’’ on the Piazza del Popolo.
We proceed with guided visit to small winery which produces wines known by the denomination “Orcia DOC.”

Brunello & Orcia DOC Wine Tour | Afternoon
After light lunch with cheese tasting we will drive for our private wine tastings with superb Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino. We will visit Brunello winemaker and learn some interesting details about its production.

If you have already done a wine tasting in the region, please let us know with whom so we can avoid repetition. We prefer small, non-commercial wineries to make sure you have a special experience. The itinerary is fairly flexible so can be slightly modified to suit your interests and seasonal constraints. |
