10:00 Short walk around Montalcino. If you have some energy, go to the top of the fortress for great views over the city and the beautiful Orcia Valley that spreads out beneath you. Around town, you can visit the 14th century St. Agostina church, with a fresco by Vincenzo Tamagni, or simply explore the small streets and shops of this charming medieval town.
11:00 Guided visit to winemaker, producing wines of denomination Orcia DOC. We will walk through the vineyard and see the diference between Sangiovese pnats, Merlot, Cabernet e Syrah. After that we will go down to the cellar of wine maker and will learn some facts about Orcia wines, its production and its aging. The visit will be ended by private wine tasting of 5 different wines.
13:00 After Orcia wines experience we will stop for a light lunch with cheese tasting in a cheese farm. You will know some interesting facts about Pecorino cheese making and taste 7 different Pecorino and Goat cheeses. (Lunch includes bio mixed salad and variety of cheeses with a glass of wine)
