Whether you are a budding sommelier or just want to know more about Tuscan wines, this tour is for you! The wines of Tuscany were made for passionate oenophiles and curious travelers alike.
During this tour you will taste different Tuscan wines, from the most famous Brunello di Montalcino to less famous but no less interesting wines. The tour is both a scenic visit of Tuscany’s hilltowns and beautiful countryside, and an investigation into wine, wine-making techniques, and local traditions.
When setting up this tour I thought about the best way to immerse you in the world of wine without however making it too heavy or boring. My solution was to include plenty of trips to nearby towns: Pienza, San Quirico, Montepulciano, gorgeous Siena and splendid Florence. Every side-trip will include a visit to local wineries and a tasting of their wines: Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello Riserva, Moscadello, Vino Nobile, Chianti Classico and Riserva, as well as different blends and of course a taste of the “fire water” known as grappa.
Wine, fun and Tuscany… sounds like a match made in heaven!
