WINE & ART - THE MAGIC WORLD OF OIL PAINTING IN TUSCANY
5 DAY – Cortona
Today we will drive to the charming hilltop town of Cortona, a former Etruscan settlement and another pearl of art and architecture.
This small town was once a center of Renaissance art, and the painter Luca Signorelli was born and worked here. For years it has attracted artists from all over the world who took inspiration from this lovely setting. Once the book “Under the Tuscan Sun” came out (and later, the film), American tourists started coming to see for themselves where the story took place. And yet, Cortona has retained its authentic center and is nicely far from the tour buses and mass tourism.
After lunch we will continue with lesson three with Melissa.
