BRUNELLO WINE TOUR - 3 DAYS
3 DAY – MONTEPULCIANO and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
10:00 We begin our morning as always with a moment of pleasure – breakfast, the smell of coffee, and a glass of fresh orange juice served “under the sun” of Tuscany (just like in the movie). Afterwards we will head off to learn all about the famous wine called Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
11:00 Visit the renowned Contucci cellar for a wine tasting of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
11:30 We’ll take you on a walk around Montepulciano, an ancient town perched more than 600 meters high on a hill overlooking the valley below. Admire the many medieval and Renaissance buildings, many of which were the villas and residences of local nobility. We will go up to the fortress, whose construction began around the year 800 AD. After our walk we will have another visit, to the world-famous Avignonesi winery.
13:30 Lunch with wine tasting at the Avignonesi winery. Today you get a real treat since you get to not only taste their wines, but also have a lunch prepared by a famous chef with wine pairings for each course.
After lunch we return to Montalcino, where you can discuss the day’s activities, do some shopping, take a walk, or just rest at your hotel.
